There are many reasons why you may find yourself caught up in “the hustle”.

So many reasons. and more appear each day in this fast-paced world.

Yet there’s one thing that is the most common culprit.

AND it is something that’s 100% on you 🫵

not the world. or society. or someone else.

It’s on YOU and it remains under YOUR control.

That’s the good news 👍

The bad news… well, it can just be so damn tough at times.

We dive into what it is and how to take hold of the wheel below; although first…

🎙️ pass the mic

I love to see someone with a great mind (and story) get it on paper and turn it into a book. It’s even better when they do it a second time, which is what Kristen Butler is doing 👏

Her first book (The Comfort Zone) is a gem, and I imagine her soon-to-be second will follow suit. Check out her site to see if it’s one you need on your pre-order list.

🎤 drop the mic

So… what’s the BIG, single *thing* that so often leads us into “the hustle”?

Simple → we don’t ASK the question.

or maybe not the question, but rather for help, support, etc.

I know, and I get it… it can be hard to ASK.

You feel vulnerable. Judged. Fragile. Imperfect. Weak.

Just stories, though. Stories YOU make up.

We all need support. Help. Guidance.

And although sometimes people will give it to us without us having to ask, that’s not 1) fair on them, and 2) a good plan for success.

So take control and ASK what you need to 💪

  • ASK for help
  • ASK the question
  • ASK for some support
  • ASK for feedback
  • ASK for a shoulder to lean on
  • ASK for permission (not that you usually need it)
  • ASK ASK ASK!!

By not asking, you end up taking on too much yourself. Too many tasks. Too much pressure. Too many thoughts, worries, et al.

It’s not that “asking” solves the problem per se. But it does start the process.

So ASK … ASK something today; something that you need.

It’s okay to need it; to want it; require it.
