Ever look at your to-do list and feel mortal dread?

Anxiety builds. Your mind rushes a mile a second. You start to piece together a plan linked to other plans, wishing just wishing to feel on top and complete “it”.

To reach a point where you can be at peace.

Maybe it’s your work-related to-do list that stirs such feelings. Maybe it’s your personal one (those household chores stacking up high?).

It don’t matter. The dread is the dread and it is, let’s be clear, RELENTLESS

But fear not because I think I’ve found a cure for this relentless chaos and ever-growing list of to-dos.

Want to hear it?

of course you do 😎

Soon, I’ll share it … but first, there’s this 👇👇

🔖 bookmark this → tired of having a neverending to-do list? Read this rather thought-provoking and face-slapping article.

📺 watch this → ever feel like you’re swinging between boredom and burnout? You’re not alone, as Casy Neistat shares…

💪 DO THISGive Your To-Do List Perspective — those items on it, how important are they? If you didn’t do them (or didn’t do them in the timeframe you would like to), what’s the worst that could happen?

this week’s featured book

Burnout to Breakthrough by Eileen McDargh— a book written by a friend of mine, and one that gives you the tools to step out of burnout and better appreciate the chapter of life you are in.

🎙️ pass the mic

I can’t recall when I first came across Mark Manson, but it was some time ago and my life changed for the better after the fact. He says it as it is and approaches “life” in a way few others do (but more people need to).

Okay, so that cure to the RELENTLESS nature of your to-do list and the eternal dread it conjures up.

What is it? What is the cure?

Simple (although far from easy to execute) 👇

→ ACCEPTANCE

Your to-do list will never end. Even if you complete it, it remains complete for what? a few minutes? a few hours? a few days?

The relentless chaos of life will not relent!

The hustle that whirs around you will not stop. Ever. Never ever!!

And that’s okay. It is okay to have a list of items that never reach the finish line. Your life, after all, continues to evolve for as long as you are here.

All we can do is commit to the tasks in front of us and give what we have to “it”.

… “it” being your to-do list, as well as everything else you’re responsible for.

The to-do list ain’t gonna end and this is okay.

It will feel daunting at times, and this too is okay.

When you feel the pressure and the anxiety rise, do your best to breathe; let go; remind yourself that the list in front of you will last as long as you do.

Accepting this fate is both freeing and liberating.

as well as giving you the tools you need to get to work.
