There is something about this time of year that is just so … BUSY!

This year more than ever, with the trip to Canada…

(which was a good time, indeed)

… but even without that, it’s a time of ??

  • Both of my kids’ birthdays
  • Updating things that have grown outdated
  • Crafting new goals and building momentum
  • Setting new intentions and committing to them

Add all this to the fact the days be short and oh-so dark, it makes for a period in the calendar that quickly gets out of hand ?‍?

Can you relate?

Yeah… thought so ?

Don’t worry, there’s a simple reminder to remedy this.

But before we get to that, let’s take a peek at this ??

from the [no hustle] community

The 12 Days of [no hustle]a series we ran over the holiday period, set to get you set for the twelve months ahead ?

Breaking Down Goals into Achievable Milestonescreating a goal is one thing, but how do you actually achieve it ? here’s how ??

3 actions to take this week

? bookmark this → ever come across this method to structure your day?

? listen to this → this is how to think (and plan) both for the short and long-term

? DO THISRe-Read Your Main Goal(s) For 2024 — recently, you set one or two intentions for the year ahead … now is a good time to revisit them, remind yourself why you committed to them, and get clear on your next steps (more on that soon).

this week’s featured book

The Perennial Seller by Ryan Holiday — this is one of those books that just STUCK with me; forever changing how I perceived creating things.

Because each time we do, we get to choose whether we focus on short-term success or long-term legacy. You can have both, to an extent, but not really ?

AND SO, it’s important to know what you want before you dive in.

With creations like a book, sure, but also any goal you set for yourself ?

?️ pass the mic

Over the last year or so, I’ve gone deep into the weeds on health and wellbeing, and a person I’ve found helpful is Ben Greenfield.

I don’t always like his approach, but in general find a lot of value in what he shares through books, articles, and his podcast. If you’re looking to “hack” your health in 2024, he’s a great person to venture down the rabbit hole with ?

? drop the mic

So, how do you remedy this BUSY time of year ?

Simple … through CONSISTENCY

Right now, you’re mind is likely full of ideas, plans, desires, goals, and so much more. You want it all and you want it right now!

But you cannot have it. and you know that.

Yet it doesn’t stop you from 1) losing patience, and 2) panicking because you already feel like your hopes and dreams are slipping through your fingers ?

STOP! Slow Down. Take a deep breath ??‍?

You don’t reach most goals by sprinting, you do so by taking the time you need and building foundations as you grow. It’s like training for a marathon … it takes time and begins with you running a mile ?

Then, a few days later, you up it to two miles.

Rinse and repeat until your body is ready for the main event.

It takes weeks; months, even!

The same applies to your new goals, personal and professional alike.

What matters is that you ?

  1. Commit to what matters this year ?
  2. Take continuous, intentional steps ?

That’s your reminder today, and it’s one I hope you turn to often in the coming weeks. Just keep your focus on CONSISTENCY because if you do, everything else falls into place ?

So… what can you do TODAY to remain consistent with your goals?

What small step can you take to make progress without submitting to the hustle?

Let me know with a quick reply ??

Thanks for being here, and thank you for being YOU ❤️
